Stoke City along with Coventry City and a number of other clubs watched Craig Reid last night.

The former City youngster, brought to the club to replace Roy O'Donovan,  was recommended to the Sky Blues management by a supporter back in September and scored twice for Newport County in a 3-2 Conference defeat at Tamworth, to take his tally of league and cup goals for the season so far to eighteen.

It is understood that Crawley Town have also shown an interest in Reid and made two bids which were unsuccessful.
