Coventry City manager Andy Thorn said that there is still a lot of work to be done before the Sky Blues commence on their League and Cups campaign.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said:  "I'm obviously pleased with the result but there's still alot of work to be done. It's another step for us in pre-season, we wanted to try a few different systems over the past few games because it's a long season and we did that again today but we've started concentrating more on our shape over the past two days and I think you could see evidence of that here.

"Will still need to start putting the gloss on stuff but we need a foundation to build on and today definitely helped with that.

"To be honest I hadn't even looked at it as having lost the last four games, I wasn't looking at it like that. It's pre-season where two of the last three teams we've played were promoted last season and for us it's about trying new things and seeing what works and what doesn't because you want to find that kind of stuff out now, not when it matters when the season starts.

"Yes we won 4-1 but there was still stuff I wasn't happy with and there's still stuff I want to nail down and we've got two more pre-season games to do that."
