Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has described Jon Stead as being a pleasure.

The striker's loan at the Sky Blues is over after picking up a cartilage injury and it remains to be seen if Coleman, who last night was a studio guest for ITV4 for Fulham's Europa League game in Wolfsburg, will try to sign him in the summer.

Speaking to the CT, Coleman said: "Steady's injury has come at a bad time for us.

"We knew all about him before we brought him in because of his experience and it is nice to work with someone like him who we have been looking at bringing in, and he has been a pleasure.

"He is a great professional, a top lad and it is just a shame that he will miss four massive games for us after being brought in to strengthen us in that position. And we are going to miss him now.

"He is Ipswich's player at the moment so it will be their choice whether he goes back or stays here for rehab, but I imagine they will want him to go back there."
