Stage Cup Finals - Arena Bosses Urged

Covsupport has been informed that Arena Coventry will not be staging either the Coventry Evening Telegraph or the Coventry Charity Cup Final from next season onwards. Both competitions have been staged at Highfield Road since their inceptions but the Charity Cup Final on April 26th and the CET Final on May 4th look to be the last.

A local player told Covsupport: " For those of us not good enough to play for City, the staging of the finals at Highfield Road has been a way for us play at the best stadium in Coventry.

"I think it is narrow minded of those in charge of the Arena not to host the finals. Afterall, it is council tax payers money which paid for the Arena in the first place and they should not forget the fact."
