Coventry Sphinx were pegged back in their FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round game against Conference North outfit Stafford Rangers.

In front of a gate of 312, which would have been much bigger had Stafford agreed to move it so not to clash with Coventry City's home game, Sphinx took the lead in the 28th minute through Jerome Murdock.

Despite having Craig Goodbody sent off, Danny McSheffrey's side added a second in the 34th minute through Kelvin Phillips.

In the second half, Tom Thorley equalised with a 50th minute penalty and ten minutes later, Ben Mills booked his side a replay at Marstons Road on Tuesday night with the equalising goal.

Coventry Sphinx's Birmingham Senior Cup tie against Nuneaton Town which was due to have been played this Tuesday night has been postponed as both sides are involved in FA Cup replays.

No new date for the game has been announced.
