Gresley had the opening fifteen minutes but it was Sphinx who took the lead when Luke Williams fired home on 21 minutes.

In the 28th minute, the home side had a penalty to the delight of the 613 strong crowd and Michael Nottingham converted.

On the hour mark, Gresley took the lead through Rob Spencer and that was enough to give them a win which sends them to the top of the table after Westfields lost 4-1 at Loughborough.
