Coventry Sphinx were fortunate to take a point from their home game tonight at home to Coleshill Town.

The Warwickshire based team should have been four goals up at the break but trailed to a 39th minute tap in from Jerome Murdock following a Casey Caggini free kick.

The visitors levelled three minutes after the restart through Ben Usher but Paul Charnley's side for whom Covsupport sponsored Danny McSheffrey was a substitute, went back in front in the 72nd minute. Craig Martin made the most of a back pass and thumped the ball home from ten yards.

Two minutes from the end of normal time,Coleshill equalised for the second time in the game when David Brush's free kick from the edge of the area flew into the net. Drennan and Parker were sent off in the eight minutes of stoppage time.

This 2-2 draw was enough to send Sphinx back to the top of the table having a one goal difference over Highgate United whom they travel to on Saturday.
