City face two possible trips to Sheffield next season after Sheffield United were relegated from the Premier League this afternoon.

The Blades needed not to lose against Wigan but went down to a 2-1 home defeat. They may have a reprieve if legal action against the Premier League concerning the Carlos Tevez deal to West Ham merits a deduction of more than three points.

West Ham won 1-0 at Manchester United with Tevez scoring the only goal of the game, relegated Charlton drew 2-2 at Liverpool and Watford were held 1-1 at Vicarage Road by Watford.

Tottenham,Bolton and Everton will play in the UEFA Cup next season with Manchester United,Chelsea,Liverpool and Arsenal all entering the Champions League.

In the two Play-Off's today, it was advantage West Brom and Blackpool. Both had away wins. The Baggies won 3-2 at Wolves with Kevin Phillips getting a brace whilst former Sky Blues Andy Morrell and Claus Jorgensen played in Blackpool's 2-1 win at Oldham Athletic.
