SCG Meeting III - Away Support

The club have spoken with ACL and the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) about a number of options with the one that looks closest to becoming reality is the moving of the away fans into the corner of blocks 6 and 7, with the blocks being filled from 6 inwards.

This then has the benefit of opening up the Jewson stand blocks 10 through to 13 for the home support, and it is hoped bring together those that wish to sing in a kop environment.
There may be issues in larger cup matches or hoped for premiership matches of a section of block 10 being lost to accommodate the full away allocation requirement, but in the main there is a good chance that the majority of the stand would be available to the home support with the away section being adapted for the numbers rather than having a total end given up as at present.

Ticket pricing bands for the Jewson stand is still to be determined, with the drop dead date for setting 2007/8 ticket pricing being mid to end of March. How the ticket pricing is arranged will have a bearing on what the club will be able to charge away support.

This move into the Jewson stand would also allow the club to go for a sports bar facility which would be open to season tickets holders and hopefully their guests who hold Flexi-cards, though again the mechanics of this initiative are yet to be fully worked on.

One of the many good aspects of this is that the revenue generated by the sports bar would go in part back to the club.

It is hoped that further details of this whole plan will be available in the near future.
