Coventry City former player Ronnie Farmer is still hoping that the Sky Blues will come back to Coventry.

“I'm so disappointed,” an emotional Farmer told the Coventry Observer's Steve Carpenter at a Diamond Club lunch. “I do miss watching them.

“I just can't believe what is going on at the club at the moment. It's a complete farce.

“I've been hoping for a return since this chaos came into being. To me it's absolutely pathetic how you can move the club out of Coventry.

“I call our team playing at Sixfields Northampton Town reserves, they're not Coventry City because they're not playing in Coventry. I just can't understand how the league allowed it.

“I sit and watch TV on a Saturday afternoon now. I'll support the team and I want them to win but I just can't get it out of my head that we should be playing in Coventry.”
