Latest Coventry City manager Mark Robins has said that coming back to the Sky Blues was too good an opportunity to resist.and that it was a different managerial job compared to anywhere else in the country.

Robins walked out on City in 2013 but has been brought back in as manager on a rolling contract following the dismissal of Russell Slade on Sunday.

He told the press conference which included the Coventry Observer: "Look at what the club nearly achieved last season. Look at the way supporters were with me last time. They fell away last season and it’s been difficult to watch this season. Too great an opportunity to resist."

Robins said that the relationship between the club, supporters and players needs to be better and that he wants to move the club forward whilst admitting that it was a job you cannot do unless you have the tools and was a different managerial job compared to anywhere else in the country.

He said that the whole structure of the club needs looking at and expressed the need to have the right people in to deliver what we need as well as a really cohesive recruitment department in order ti get a well supported club doing better and whilst a whole range of things that need to be resolved, the most important thing is the team.

Like many, Robins expressed concern for City's Academy and commented: "The academy has produced some good young players over the years and we have to make sure that’s as safe as it possibly can be."
