Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that it remains to be seen if his latest loanee James Sterry and Andre Wright can do the business in League One matches for the Sky Blues.

The City boss told the Coventry Telegraph: "I worry about getting in enough good footballers.

"We have brought in talents and attributes who bring speed, power and technical ability - but it remains to be seen whether they can do it on the grass in League One.”

Speaking about Sterry who is on loan from Newcastle United, Mowbray said: "He comes very highly spoken of, and he adds to the competition on that side with Andy Rose injured.

"Dion Kelly-Evans is a good player but it is not fair that he is the only one at the football club that can play that position.”

Speaking about Andre Wright who is on loan from West Brom, Mowbray commented: He’s big, strong, technical, fast, and has all the attributes of a footballer. We will see if we can mould him into a good player long-term but short-term we want him to score goals and be a nuisance.”

The City boss expects both to be involved in tomorrow's game at Fleetwood and added: "They are here to play and to compete.

"Experience costs money in this game and it was hard to get the right personnel but what we have done is bring in some young and exciting assets to our squad.”
