Gary Hopkins has urged City supporters to remain patient regarding news of the takeover by Manhatten Sports Capital Partners. The City supporter, whose first game was at home to Reading in 1961, said to the CT after speaking to Iain Dowie,City officials and supporters at the end of season dinner:

"Discussions are on-going with the club and all related parties, which are being held in a very constructive manner. "We continue to undergo our diligence and evaluation and would like to thank all parties for their help and support as we complete this.

"A lot of work has been happening behind the scenes but as is invariably the case in these situations, patience is required. "We fully understand that Coventry fans are looking for a quick resolution, and as a fan myself, I appreciate this. "However, from a business perspective there is still work to be done.

"Manhattan Sports Capital is committed to achieving a successful out-come and continues to work towards that end."
