Former Coventry City youngster Craig Reid scored the only goal of the game as Newport County won 1-0 at Rushden & Diamonds.

Reid struck in the 33rd minute for Dean Holdsworth side.

Another former City youngster Iyseden Christie scored for Kettering in their 4-1 defeat at Fleetwood Town whilst Andy Morrell was on target for Wrexham in their 1-1 draw with York City.

In the Conference North, Nuneaton Town were beaten 3-1 at home by division leaders Alfreton Town. Arnold (38), Hearn (55), Brown (66) had the visitors 3-0 up before Dillon hit a consolation goal in second half stoppage time.

Ben Mackey scored for Corby Town in a 2-1 defeat at Corby Town.

In the FA Cup, Leamington were held 2-2 by Brackley Town. Murphy and Craig Wilding scored for the Brakes in front of a crowd of 532 at the New Windmill, Rugby Town lost 5-1 at Wednesfield and Bedworth were held 1-1 at Bartley Green.

In the Midland Alliance, Stratford Town managed by former City youngster Morton Titterton and City supporter Jason Cadden lost 1-0 at home to Westfields.

In the Midland Combination Premier Division, Coventry Copsewood were beaten 3-2 at home by Brocton, Massey Ferguson lost 2-1 at Castle Vale JKS, Racing Club Warwick lost 1-0 at home to Castle Vale but Alveston won 4-3 at Pelsall Villa and Southam United drew 0-0 with Cadbury Athletic.

In Division One, Kenilworth Town won 3-1 at Droitwich. In Division 2, Young Warriors won 2-0 at Lichfield City and in Division three, Coventry Amatuers were beaten 3-0 at home by Coton Green Reserves.
