Dele Adebola's brace and overall performance in Coventry City's 4-1 victory over Barnsley last weekend has seen the Nigerian striker record the second highest score of the week in The Actim Index - the Official Player Ratings of the Coca-Cola Championship.
Coventry, who are six games unbeaten under Iain Dowie, now have two members of the first team in the Top 50 of Actim Index - Elliott Ward (33rd) and Marcus Hall (49th). In the weeks before the former Charlton boss was appointed, Ward was ranked 70th and Hall 89th.

However, Adebola is the player who has responded the most under new leadership, climbing 93 places to 114th overall in Dowie's six games in charge. Actim Stats reveal that the 31-year-old striker, who recorded 73 Index points last week, has scored eight goals and hit 53 shots for Coventry this season. He has also made 136 tackles, 12 clearances, 16 interceptions, two blocks, 43 dribbles, 19 crosses and 277 passes in 2,376 minutes of football.

Ironically, only ex-Sky Blue player Darren Huckerby (83 points) recorded a higher score in the Index last week.
