Ramage: Burton Are Not Top Of The League For No Reason

Coventry City defender Peter Ramage has said that Burton Albion are not top of the League One table for no reason.

Speaking about the 2-0 defeat, Ramage who made his debut told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “We were disappointed not to go in at half time a goal ahead. The keeper pulled off a couple of really good saves and if they’d have gone in it might have been different. But we knew it was going to be difficult to break them down and hard to just create chances, let alone score goals.

“They are not top of the league for no reason. I thought we were unfortunate in the first half but didn’t quite do enough in the second to get something.

“Their second goal came as we were chasing the game and a ball over the top.

“We knew they would do that and the lad has finished it well. It’s just disappointing because I thought we created our own problems in the first place. It’s learning from these mistakes and going into the next game and trying to bounce back from it that’s important now.”
