Quirke Loaned Out

As expected, Coventry City have loaned keeper Michael Quirke to Nuneaton Town for a month.

Quirke, who was the Covsupport News Service City U18's Player Of The Year last season, made his first team debut as a substitute in the 2-2 draw at Watford but had been out with a hand injury.

Quirke had already played for Nuneaton in a 3-2 win over Leamington in a Birmingham Senior Cup game and will replace the suspended Danny Alcock for Nuneaton's game tomorrow with Redditch United.

Speaking to the CT, Nuneaton boss Kevin Wilkin said: "Michael's a good keeper and has been working along side quality keepers at Coventry so I have no problems whatsoever."
