PSB Group Call For Fisher To Go

Last updated : 24 September 2016 By CNS Sport

The Preservation Sky Blues group have issued the following press statement

After reflecting on a very turbulent week at CCFC with the welcome resignation of Chris Anderson followed by the pathetic decision to ban our local newspaper from CCFC press conferences for daring to speak their mind and reflect the views of the people of Coventry and others from across the country in saying SISU should sell.

We at PSB are now calling for Tim Fisher to do the right thing and follow Mr Anderson out the exit door sharply. Being chairman at any club is a difficult and challenging role. We don't deny this. However is Tim doing all he can in the best interests of Coventry City?

Is he working as hard as he should be in his role? Is he even working at all?

The main job of the chairman first and foremost has to be to secure the long term future of the club. Is our long term future secure?

No, it looks more bleak than ever before. It's quite clear we don't have any future with Tim and Joy in charge. What is the future for CCFC ?

No stadium, an academy in crisis, our 1st team training ground is up for sale, no assets.

Tim Fisher was the man that FAILED in negotiations to purchase a stake in the Ricoh arena.

Tim then used devastating tactics to distress ACL to obtain the Ricoh arena for next to nothing and FAILED.

He was also the man that sanctioned the disastrous unforgivable move to Sixfields, Northampton which again FAILED.

The list goes on, in his reign as chairman there have been point deductions, administration, transfer embargos, a ground move and endless amounts of money wasting on FAILED court cases.

Mr Fisher's next move is to sell Ryton lodge to make way for new houses to be built on. Ryton is the great Jimmy Hill's legacy. Jimmy Hill did not build our club up for a hedge fund to come in and knock it down again for their own benefit. We as fans do not want to see our perfectly fine training ground with decades of proud history flattened to have a housing estate built on it's land for the benefit of SISU.

Let's be honest none of this is being done with the best interests of CCFC at heart. They are pursuing this heartless plan of action for THEMSELVES!

History means nothing to Tim or Joy!

I wonder how Tim would feel if a hedge fund consortium treated his beloved Sheffield Wednesday like this, moved them out of Sheffield and looked to flatten their training base for houses. It's a disgrace Tim. Put yourself in the fans shoes for once.

The only person Tim wants to keep happy is Joy Seppala and her intentions have no good in them whatsoever for the well being of CCFC.

Tim you have FAILED miserably as chairman of Coventry city. You don't even bother to communicate with your own PAYING CUSTOMERS, why is this?

Mr Anderson was horrific in his role but at least he realized this and swiftly resigned. Now is the time for you to follow suit.

Go Tim just GO!  @psb_group
