The Prime Minister David Cameron has tweeted that he will over-rule the Home Office decision for licensing hours not to be extending for England's World Cup match and the World Cup Final.

The BBPA had applied for longer opening hours for pubs for two weekends but their claim was rejected by the Home Office who said it was not of 'national importance'.

However, David Cameron has tweeted: "I have ordered a rethink on pub opening times for England's World Cup games - will consult with pub trade, police and councils."
