Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has denied that he asked any players to take a pay cut during his meeting with all the City players on Sunday.

There had been some rumours that with Financial Fair Play set to affect the Sky Blues who are yet to get their season tickets and kits on sale, that some players may have to take a wage cut.

However, speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Pressley said:“The only thing discussed was the future of the player and whether they are part of the future or not; what was expected of them moving forward and the type of training programme and standards we expect moving forward.

"That’s all that was discussed with each player.”
