Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that players coming in on loan will have to get used to the high levels of fitness.

Mark Marshall has picked up an injury due to the high intensity training and the City boss told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “The fitness of our players this season is of a very high standard and I think the way they train every day is of really high intensity and, in my opinion, probably higher than most other clubs.

“So when players come here they often find adapting to it quite difficult and that’s why bringing in loan players can be difficult, or bringing in players at any time other than the pre-season can be difficult.

“It’s something we have to deal with and hopefully it’s something the players can adapt to quite quickly.”
