Clive Platt was delighted with his first goal for Coventry City in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City this afternoon.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Platt said "It's always nice to get your first goal and it's always nice to get it in a big local derby so I was obviously quite keen to celebrate that one.

"It was a tricky start for us but we managed to get a goal against the run of play and I thought that gave us the emphasis going into half time.

"When we came out for the second half I thought we saw their attacks off when they came at us so it was disappointing to get the draw but on the whole I think it was probably a fair result.

"It's always nice to get your first goal and it's always nice to get it in a big local derby so I was obviously quite keen to celebrate that one.

"I think it's positive for us they we came out with a point despite probably not playing as well as we could but it's still early days for us at the moment and when we start clicking and pick up a bit more momentum I don't think there will be many teams that will be able to stop us."
