Payments To Agents Increase

The amount of money paid by Coventry City to agents rose dramatically according to figures released by the Football League today.

In the period - July 01 to Dec 31 2005, Coventry City spent £105,250 in agents fees. This covered 36 transactions including eleven transfer/ new registrations, twelve update contracts, three cancelled contracts and ten loans.

The figure was up from £20,000 on the previous six months but compared to other clubs in the division, it was a pretty average figure. Crewe never spent a penny on agents fees whilst Norwich City forked out a staggering £438,000, Southampton £275,000 and Brighton £255,000.
