Oxford United warmed up for the EFL Trophy Final against Coventry City on Sunday at Wembley with a 5-1 win over Bury in League One fixture.
Oxford were three up at the break thanks to goals from Johnson (11), Rothwell (35) and McAleny (39) who scored a fourth goal four minutes into the second half and completed his hat-trick in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
James Vaughan pulled a goal back in the 56th minute for Bury as Oxford moved up to eighth place in the table.
Sheffield United moved seven points clear at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Millwall.
AFC Wimbledon scored three goals in five minutes to beat Rochdale 3-0.
