Not A Good Record For City At Ashton Gate

Tuesday night will see the 58th meeting of Bristol City and Coventry City.

City have won only four times at Ashton Gate losing on fourteen occasions with four draws.

City's last visit to Ashton Gate was on Monday April 9th 2012 in a game the Sky Blues needed to win to avoid relegation, 2500 City supporters packed the Wedlock End but they saw a Jon Stead own goal, cancelled out by Stead at the other end in the 47th minute and further goals from Yannick Bolasie (81), Chris Wood (94) to go down to a 3-1, with relegation following a few weeks later.

City's biggest win at Ashton Gate was a 2-0 win in 1922 and 1934. The last time Coventry won at Ashton Gate was on September 18th 2010 with a 2-1 victory.

City's heaviest loss at Ashton Gate was a 5-0 defeat on a bitterly cold Boxing Day in 1978.
