Coventry City's on loan midfielder Oliver Norwood has said that he will be returning to Manchester United a better player at the end of the season.

Many City supporters would like Norwood on a season long loan next season but that will depend on whether Sir Alex Ferguson who watched him played against Peterborough on Saturday has him in his first teams plans for next season.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Norwood said:"I will be going back a better player. "You can only learn from playing 15 games in the Championship. You play against good footballers which is good and you learn to get stronger.

"I had a phone call from Mike Phelan (from Manchester United) who said "we are coming to watch" but to be fair it doesn't bother me. I just have to perform and catch the eye.

"I speak to the reserve manager more or less every day and he gives me tips on what I could be doing better and what I am doing well.

"There is always someone here to watch or they get the videos from Coventry and take a close interest. They have said I have done well. There are things I can work on but I just hope the club gets out of trouble."
