Coventry City midfielder Michael Doyle has said that not signing any new players has brought the City squad closer together.

"We don't have anyone in at the moment and people are probably disillusioned by that, which is understandable, but sometimes things like that bring people closer together when you have got a smaller squad," said the 28 year old to the CT.

"But hopefully the manager can bring people in with better quality for the squad but if he doesn't, if we can hold on to what we have got, sometimes it is little things like that which can bring you closer together.

"There is always going to be talk and interest when you have got good players at the club, and obviously we have got a few players who did really well last season and I don't think a week has gone by without one of them being linked with another club, but that's just football and the club have got to do what the club has got to do."
