No Mo Against City at Derby

City fans travelling to Derby on Saturday will be spared the agony of having to watch former fans hero Mo Konjic playing against the Sky Blues.

The defender who was shoved out of Highfield Road in the summer has struggled with injury since his move to Pride Park. This has resulted in Konjic having an operation to shave a bone on his knee cap but two months since the treatment, the Bosnian is no nearer getting back to match fitness.

He told the CET: Things are very similar to when I first arrived at Coventry. “I had a bad time with injury but won the battle there and I hope I can do the same again at Derby where people are being very patient with me.”

“I would like to say a big ‘hello’ to the Coventry fans and wish them all the best for the season because they really deserve Premiership football.

“I am looking forward to the game which I think should be a good one to watch, although not really for me personally.”
