No Loan For Ossie

Coventry City midfielder Isaac Osbourne has been refused the chance to go out on loan to get some games.

With no reserve team this season, Osbourne, like a number of players has not had the number of games he needs to get back to full match playing fitness and asked Chris Coleman to go out on loan.

However, this has been turned down by the City manager Chris Coleman who told the CT: "I spoke with Isaac in the week when he came to speak to me and I feel for him because he wants to play in central midfield, although I feel he can do a good job at right-back, and so does he, but he just wants to play.

"We had a good, positive chat and I explained to him that I will try to give him a game in the centre of the park and then it is up to Isaac, and he came on and did a good job albeit for 15-20 minutes.

"He stuck in there and won some important tackles because he is a strong boy, and he pulled the game up for us, and we will see how he goes between now and the end of the season."

Osbourne said: "I was pleased to be back but just disappointed not to have been involved in more games recently, but I was happy to be on the field again on Saturday.

"It felt a bit weird, to be honest, but the sooner I get back to it, the quicker I will adapt to it.

"When I came on we were obviously winning 1-0 and when I saw how long was left I was a bit disappointed, but hopefully I will get more chances in that position.

"There are eight games left now and hopefully I can play a part and maybe get a little run in midfield.

"I had a word with the manager last week and told him that I want to be involved and play a few more games, particularly in the centre of midfield, but more importantly I just want to play.

"I know it is a bit difficult at the moment to put me in midfield because we have got Michael Doyle, Aron Gunnarson and Guillaume Beuzelin who are all doing well, and he hasn't seen me play in centre midfield.

"But he said he would hopefully give me a game there before the end of the season.

"Obviously I am more than happy to come on in games but I would prefer to play a bit longer.

"A 30 minute run-out would be much better than 15 minutes, but I just want to be back on the pitch."
