No Immediate Plans For City To Leave The Ricoh Arena?

Whilst the rent row between Coventry City and Arena Coventry Limited has gone very quiet as the Boxing Day deadline for payment or a deal to be struck approaches, there are signs that City's tenure at the Ricoh Arena is not yet at an end

City and their owners SISU were given 21 days to pay the £1m rent they owe or face the prospect of being wound up after rejecting what seems to much of the Sky Blue support, as a very reasonable offer.

The Sky Blues Board countered with threats to leave for the vacant Nene Park, which is outside the conurbation of Coventry, whilst cash strapped Hinckley United and Port Vale offered use of their grounds for a fee.

However, this appears to be nothing more than posturing as the Sky Blues next three opponents for home matches are all saying that their matches on  January 1st, January 10th and January 16th or 22nd respectively will take place at the Ricoh Arena.

Nowhere, does it say anywhere on the club websites of Shrewsbury Town, Preston North End and Tranmere Rovers that their matches will be played anywhere other than the Ricoh Arena. Information by rights, the clubs would have to pass on to supporters buy tickets for the games.
