No Date For Clingan Return

No date has been set for Sammy Clingan to return to playing.

The Coventry City midfielder had his toe trodden on in the first half of the defeat at Portsmouth on December 3rd.

A scan later confirmed that his toe had suffered a fracture, leaving the Northern Irish international unable to put on a boot or trainer because his toe cannot stand being compressed.

Writing in his programme notes for the Boxing Day game against Bristol City, Clingan wrote: "the physios have not been able to put a timescale on when I will be back but it cannot come soon enough for me.

"I hate looking out of the gym window and seeing all the lads training. I want to be out there training and playing in matches so we can pick up the points to get us out of this situation."
