Alex Nimely has hinted that he might be prepared to play for Coventry City next season.

The loanee from Manchester City is at the Ricoh Arena until the end of the season and City have already intimated through Tim Fisher that they would like him for next season if possible.

Speaking to the CT’s Andy Turner, Nimely said: I am going to be 21 soon so I need to be playing week in, week out and I don’t want to sit and watch any more,” said the ambitious England Under-20 forward.

“I think I have enough experience to play with the bigger players now, knowing when to run and when not to run, and I think I have improved.

“I spoke to the manager and he said ‘look Alex, this squad is massive and that’s why you need to go out to play football for yourself and your career’.

“It’s a massive club that has seen a lot of improvement. I was there when there wasn’t much money and now there is a lot of money and some big players have come in. I have to keep playing my football and improving so maybe I can get a chance there.

“If I can’t get a chance there I might go somewhere else to play football.

"So if I go back and the situation is the same then I may go out on loan again – maybe I might even come back to Coventry.”
