New Signing On His Way?

Coventry City manager Chris Coleman is hoping that he can make his first new signing over the next few days.

So far the Sky Blues have yet to make a signing since the transfer window reopened and with money from players being sold has gone to pay the bills, many City supporters are becoming increasingly desperate for the Sky Blues to show signs that they will be able to compete in a tough division this season.

"We have had a good conversation this week with a club about a player and if all goes well then maybe something may happen by the end of this week," said Chris Coleman, who is looking for a striker, covering keeper, central midfielder, winger and a defender under cash restraints imposed by SISU, to the CT.

"But, like I have said before, you never know until the ink is dry. "It is on-going and we have talked to other clubs about certain players, but I would like to think we are closer this week than we were last week with at least one.

"But we will see what happens by Saturday or Sunday."
