Former Coventry City midfielder Romain Vincelot has signed a new deal with Bradford City.

Vincelot left the Sky Blues for The Bantams a year ago and went on to captain a side which made it to the League One Play-Off Final.

The Frenchman has signed a two year deal and speaking about him, Bradford City boss Stuart McCall added: "It is always a bonus to keep hold of your captain for another added year.

"He brings a lot of leadership qualities and experience.

"He is a great personality to have in and around the dressing room - it was definitely a good decision to make him captain when he came to the football club last year.

"He has done exactly what we thought he would do when we brought him to the club, and it also helps that he can play in more than one position for us.

"A player of his quality is always admired by a lot of other clubs, so it was important that we signed him up for another year (on top of this coming season)."
