Need To Bounce Back - Christie

Coventry City defender Cyrus Christie has said that City have to bounce back and make sure they retain their Championship status.

Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, the Coventry born defender in his first season of first team football said: "We get knocked down and get back up again," said the teenage defender after City’s solitary point from the Easter weekend has seen them slump back into the bottom three, four points adrift of nearest rival Bristol.

"We have proved in recent games and the unbeaten run we’ve been on what we’re capable of so there’s no reason why we can’t continue that starting with Burnley.

"We have to make sure we bounce back on Saturday now.

"Bristol have got a tough run in and we’ve got games that are definitely winnable so we have to hope that we get the points and get out of the relegation zone.

"Bristol have got to play Birmingham and West Ham but anything can happen in this league, but hopefully they will do us a favour.

"But we need to concentrate on our games rather than theirs and make sure we get the three points.

"We have shown good resolve and determination all season. It has been hard away from home for us.

"Obviously it was good to get the first away win at Hull but overall we haven’t got the results we have wanted, but hopefully we will do enough in the last four games to stay up."
