Andy Thorn has said that his appointment as Coventry City manager is not about him, it is about moving the club forward.

Many season ticket holders have been wating to see whether he would be appointed and who deals would be offered to before renewing their season tickets and Thorn told the CT: “It has not really sunk in yet.

“But don’t get me wrong, this is all lovely but it is not about Andy Thorn, it is about Coventry and the club moving forward.

“I am in a position where I can make that happen by getting everyone on the right tracks. And if you are doing that then you are not going far wrong, and it is my job to do that.

“So it is about the club, the supporters and the players more than me.

“I had never really thought about management until I got more and more involved in it and then it just took off. And when the opportunity came along I didn’t want the club to stick with the way it was going so I stepped in and I am fortunate enough that it has gone the right way. But there is a lot of work to go into it and I am really looking forward to getting stuck into it.”
