Mowbray: We Might Have To Sell To Bring In New Players

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he might have to sell players in order to bring in more players.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner, Mowbray said:  “There might be a bit of juggling to do, we might lose one or two players to bring some in.

“Sometimes potential new signings might cost a few quid so we might make a tough decision to let one go to bring another one in.

“It’s progressing bit by bit. We’re still a long way off having a team I’d like to start in the competition but that’s OK. If I think back to last season Adam Armstrong didn’t come until late and Jacob Murphy came after we’d started so we have to be patient.

“We can’t build our team on loans this year but they are still going to be very important and I hope one or two will come from some big club and become big players in the team, as they did last season.

“We are trying to bed in one or two new signings and we’re pretty hopeful that we’ll have some announcements to make in the next week or so.

“We have to wait for the right ones to come along. There are lots and lots of players out there and I am sure our supporters will see who is unattached and available and be wondering why we aren’t signing him or him. But they have to fit the jigsaw puzzle and be part of what we want.”
