Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray is hoping that the meeting due for next week between representatives from the Sky Blues and Ricoh Arena stadium owners Wasps will strengthen the Sky Blues positiion.

Whilst many supporters are openly concerned that sending City Chairman Tim Fisher into the meeting, following the departure of CEO Steve Waggott, could be akin to sending a bull into a china shop, the City boss is hoping that whoever attends the meeting will try and get the best deal possible for the Sky Blues.

Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph: "I think the Ricoh is a fabulous stadium for us and a collaboration is working fine.

"There are some things I would like to change about the matchday experience.

“As a football manager, hopefully any meetings that go on strengthen the position of the football club.”
