Mowbray - We Huffed And Puffed But Could Not Blow The House Down

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray said his side huffed and puffed but could not blow Steven Pressley's house down after the Sky Blues lost 2-1 to Fleetwood.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Mowbray said: “Well done to them.

“Steven’s obviously very passionate in the way he goes about his job and I wish them well in their plight.

“They’re a decent side with some good players and probably in a false position but it’s frustrating for us, especially after we got back to 1-1 and I thought we could go on and win the game.

“A great strike settled it in the end but they dug in and made life difficult for us so we have to accept that.

“We huffed and puffed but we couldn’t blow their house down. For 20 minutes we were very good, very dominant – we probably became a little bit over-confident and played to their strengths by trying to go through the middle.

“They had three midfield players very narrow in front of their back four and they counter-attacked well but when we stuck to the game-plan and went down the side we looked as if we could create chances.”
