Mowbray - No Signings Only Loans

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray has said that he does not have any signings lined up but he is trying to bring in some loans.

Mowbray told the Coventry Telegraph's Alan Poole:" We haven't got any signings lined up but we are working hard to fix up the loans we need to get the right balance.

"I think we're near enough there with one - but you never know until they are done do you - and hopefully, a couple more by the end of the week but it might be that we are not ready for Wigan.

"I know what we need - it's not a great secret but we are waiting for the bits to fall into place. I'd love to be playing these friendlies with a ready made team but I'd rather play with the team we want for 40 weeks of the season than rush and get the wrong ones and regret that as the season unfolds.

"It's frustrating but finances mean that we are looking at loan players and those cannot be sorted out whilst clubs are on tour and out of the country."
