New Coventry City defender Hermann Hreidarsson has said that moving to Coventry was an simple decision to make.

The 37 year who joined from Portsmouth earlier this week, told Sky Blue Player:  "I have had two training sessions so far and I was really happy to get out there and play with my new teammates.

“I have been impressed with the standard of the squad and there is good energy in the side. Everyone is pushing for a starting place so it is good to come here and see that.

"The deal happened very quickly and with me not getting many games at Portsmouth, I thought it was a simple decision to come here.

"I'm like any other footballer. I just want to play football and be involved on a Saturday, and that wasn't happening at Portsmouth.

"I am really looking forward to showing what I can do for the supporters. I could have sat at Portsmouth and done nothing., had weekend's off and had a nice life.

"But I wanted that challenge and to test myself so to come here was an easy decision to make in the end."
