Former Coventry City manager Academy Richard Money has steered his Cambridge United side back into the Football League.

Money was in charge of a Cambridge United side which had Hughes score with a 51st minute header and a Ryan Donaldson free kick twenty minutes later against a Gateshead side managed by former Coventry City Reserve team manager Gary Mills.

Jack Lester pulled one back in the 80th minute and when Cambridge went down to ten men when Ian Miller was carried off, Gateshead threw everything at Cambridge who hung on to book their place in the Football League along with Luton Town.
