Mixed Cup Fortunes For City Old Boys

There were mixed fortunes for some City old boys tonight.

Andy Morrell scored to give the Wrexham side he manages the lead in an FA Cup Third Round tie against Brighton & Hove Albion but the visitors levelled late in the second half. The game went to penalties which Brighton won 5-4.

Marlon King was an unused substitute in Birmingham City's 1-0 win at Wolves.

Robbie Simpson scored for Oldham Athletic in a 2-1 defeat JPT game at Chesterfield. 

In the Scottish Cup, former City youngster Jon Tuffey played in goal for Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who are managed by former City player/manager Terry Butcher. Inverness won 3-1 at Dunfermline after extra time.
