Former Coventry City loanee David McGoldrick has had a set back in his bid to return from injury.
McGoldrick had been coming back from injury but has damaged his cartilage in training.
Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy told Ipswich Player: "Didz (David McGoldrick) has nicked his cartilage whilst running on the Training Ground and is having an operation today.
“It’s disappointing for him as he’s been doing really well in his rehab. It will be about getting him ready for next season now.
