Coventry City Chairman Mike McGinnity has provoked anger amongst City supporters worldwide with a reference that City supporters cannot be trusted to respect a minute's silence.

Speaking to the CET,the City Chairman said: "There wasn't a silent tribute because we felt it was best to honour Mr Cantwell's life by running a piece in the programme. "I disagree that a one-minute silence is the best tribute, they are always subject to people interrupting and by half-time they are forgotten. But a tribute in a match-day programme lasts forever."
