McAllister: We were second best

Wednesday led through Leon Knight's 58th-minute goal and were denied twice by the woodwork until substitute Runar Normann scored his first goal in three years for City.

"We are very lucky to be standing here with a point," said player-boss McAllister.

"I was not happy with any part of our performance. Sheffield Wednesday took the initiative and we were second best all night.

"Coming from behind is becoming a habit and when that happens it becomes scratchy and you have to fight for everything.

"At 0-0 we were looking for more quality. I felt we were a bit jaded in our match at the weekend and thought it needed to be freshened up, so I made a couple of changes, but it didn't pay off."
