"We are very lucky to be standing here with a point," said player-boss McAllister.
"I was not happy with any part of our performance. Sheffield Wednesday took the initiative and we were second best all night.
"Coming from behind is becoming a habit and when that happens it becomes scratchy and you have to fight for everything.
"At 0-0 we were looking for more quality. I felt we were a bit jaded in our match at the weekend and thought it needed to be freshened up, so I made a couple of changes, but it didn't pay off."
