McAllister, back in the hot-seat at Highfield Road after a fortnight away from the club for family reasons, was pleased with the response of his players after going a goal down in the game with the Hammersw on Saturday.

"I thought the draw was a fair result," said the Sly Blues boss after the 1-1 draw.

"We started brightly and then their goal came against the run of play but I was pleased with the way we responded.

"We had a shaky few minutes after the goal but then we picked up and the move which brought the equaliser summed up everything we're trying to achieve here.

"There was a good, patient build-up followed by a quality ball across the face of goal."
