Judging by our postbag, the very late decision made by Coventry City and Doncaster Rovers to give their players an extra day's rest and move the League One fixture to Good Friday (March 29th) from Saturday March 30th, when they have known about the fixture since June 2012, has not gone down well with plenty of you.
Good Friday is not a full public holiday in Coventry and many businesses are working and the decision to move the match to a 3pm kick off on Good Friday with only sixteen days notice before the game has prompted plenty of complaints,
Some we have received are as follows;
"Have spoken to the club and voiced my displeasure. Will now lose my rail fare booked in advance with no refund. The club are not interested in the true fans,. Made the same point that this could have been re-arranged a lot earlier to allow fans to make alternative arrangements - club not interested.I won't be able to go on Good Friday."
"Far too late to be making a change like this...people have made plans, tickets have been on sale....should have been done weeks ago. It's not like Good Friday/Easter Saturday/Easter Monday have suddenly moved they've been these dates for ages. "
"Outrageous. I thought there was enough fuss when they did this a few years ago, for a game v Scunthorpe I think, that a lesson had been learned but evidently not."
"Yet another indication of how the clubs don't give a toss about the fans."
"Too late for me to book the time off now. This should have been agreed at the start of the season."
