Coventry City defender Arron Martin has said that hopefully, his performance at Peterborough United on Saturday will stand him in good stead.

Martin, atoned for his error in the Doncaster Rovers home defeat with a superb performance and told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “Everything that came anywhere near me I just headed back.

“There was no way any other player was going to win the ball and that’s what I have got to do in every game between now and the end of the season.

"I just need to believe in myself a bit more. I know I can do it and have shown that I can do it. I have just got to do it consistently.

“I have to keep working hard, do the best I can and hope that I stay in the side. When Reda’s fit and back we’ll see what happens but hopefully my performance at Peterborough will hold me in good stead.”
