"I spoke to Yazid and told him that we want nothing less than 100 per cent at Coventry City," caretaker manager Eric Black told the club's official website.
"As he has decided to join up with Algeria it is apparent that he is not willing to give us that and as a result the only way forward was to terminate his contract."
